Optical disc drive — is a disk drive that burns and reads data from optical discs.

Disc image — is a single file containing the complete contents and structure representing a CD/DVD/BD.

Burning — is a process that allows writing image files, data files, music or video files to CD/DVD discs.

Image format — is a type of image file.

Writing speed — is a disc property that indicates how fast data may be burned to it. Usually, disc manufacturer sets the possible writing speed to the disc, and you can choose one of the available variants while you prepare to burn a disc. It doesn’t affect the data you burn.

Finalizing disc - is a process that means the disc cannot have any additional data written to it.
